WW2 US 802nd Tank Destroyer Pocket Patch
Offered here is an exceptionally rare example of the winged skull pocket patch for the 802nd tank destroyer battalion. This battalion was raised from the New York national guard and shipped out to France in 1944. Most notably this battalion saw combat during the Battle of the Bulge. These units were tasked with operating the vehicles that raced toward enemy tanks and attempted to destroy them. This patch measures 5x3.5” and is in very good condition. Typically these were worn on a jacket or tankers coveralls. It is exceedingly rare to see these patches in this condition!
