WW2 Italian Fascist M35 “Red Devil”
Offered here is a very neat and interesting hand grenade used by fascist Italy during its colonial conflicts and during WW2. English soldiers who first encountered these hand grenades referred to them as “Red Devils” due to their color and how effective they were. Well ahead of it’s time, these grenades were compact and packed quite a punch despite their size. English and commonwealth soldiers learned to fear these grenades in the deserts of Libya and Egypt. It is very hard to find these grenades with the original leather pull tab still attached. This example is in fantastic condition, and displays perfectly!
