WW2 Japanese Signed Hinomaru National Flag
Offered here is a very fine example of a WW2 Japanese signed national flag; commonly known as the Hinomaru. These flags were typically signed by family and well wishers hoping for a successful campaign for the intended soldier. These “off to war” flags as collectors call them were typically taken off fallen Japanese soldiers. There is a spot of what looks like staining, or possibly a faded blood stain, I cannot ascertain exactly what it is, you can see it well in the photos provided. This flag roughly measures 33.5x26”, which is a great and easily displayable size!
