WW2 German Luftwaffe Pilot Observer Badge FLL

$895.00

Offered here is a very lovely cased example of a pilot observer badge. This badge was produced by the FLL firm during the war. This badge is accompanied by its original presentation case, which is a nicely satin lined box. The catch on this badge was broken off at some point, which was a common occurrence and was typically repaired during the period. There is also some interesting scratch marks on the back of the badge as well. This badge was worn often by its wearer, much of the original finish is still present, and in certain spots the finish is worn and given way to a reddish hue. The detailing on the eagles feathers is quite impressive, and very well executed. This is a nice heavy badge, evocative and beautiful, and a lovely set as it’s accompanied with its original presentation case
