WW2 German Kreigsmarine Battle Damaged Flag
Offered here is a very exceptional WW2 German Kreigsmarine flag. This flag measures roughly 150 x 250 centimeters as stamped on the ribbon. This flag is nicely stamped with makers mark, dimensions, as well as the correct Kreigsmarine eagle. The original rope used to hoist this flag is also still present. Based on the size I would say this flag would have been flown on a smaller german navy vessel, opposed to a battleship or cruiser. The condition is also very nice, clear signs of being flown, and receiving battle damage. Various small holes indicative of shrapnel and other various small projectiles. The flag is not quite “salty” as collectors like to say, it’s much nicer than salty but still clearly battle damaged and well used. It really has that perfect been-there, look to it while maintaining nice condition. This would be perfect as a backdrop for any collection!
