For sale is this very nice example of the Japanese Greater East Asia Medal. This medal was originally designed and produced in 1944, and believed to be intended for veterans who served the empire during WW2. After American occupation, many of these medals were destroyed. However during the post-war period, many Japanese veterans were able to have the Osaka Mint restrike the medal and issued to those who served. This medal is in fantastic condition, the ribbon is fully intact, and is set in a lovely wood case. Included is original paper most likely for the instructions on how to wear the medal. This medal is quite attractive and displays very well!
