WW2 German Dress Bayonet Gustav Spitzer
For sale is this lovely example of a German dress bayonet. This piece was made by the Gustav Spitzer firm, a maker that is not too commonly seen. This bayonet is the longer model and accompanied with a lovely and correct dress frog. The scabbard retains the vast majority of its original paint, and is free of any defects. The grips and handle are all in very nice condition, also free of any dings or dents. The blade is absolutely stone mint, I make a point to not use the word “mint” in my descriptions, but I can think of no other way to describe the beauty of this blade. The Gustav Spitzer mark is stamped deeply into the ricasso, and is striking to the viewer. Overall an extremely minty dress bayonet from an uncommon maker.
