WW2 German SA Sports Armband
Offered here is a very nice example of what collectors have named the SA sports armband. In reality these armbands were intended to be worn by the paramilitary wing of the SA, which was tasked with the training of civilians for combat. It has always been my suspicion that many of these were produced and never issued, or issued in small quantities. Because of their numbers, and most seem to be in nice condition, it has lead me to believe that they were used in limited number, or not utilized at all. These armbands are inexpensive and display very nicely next to an SA dagger or sports badge!
