WW2 AH/Stalin Homefront Propaganda Figurine

$375.00

Offered here is a very obscene piece of WW2 propaganda. This piece was originally obtained from the family of a WW2 Veteran. The veteran said he obtained this piece while stationed with Australian soldiers, the piece is believed to have been made in either Australia or New Zealand. The soldier found this piece so comical he likely traded for it, brought it home, and carved his name into Hitler’s face. Collectors will know that many homemade pieces were made of Hitler, Tojo, and Mussolini during the war. Many of these pieces are quite crude, and in same cases can be viewed as offensive. Pieces like these are very rare, this piece in particular I have not seen before. It is important for us collectors to remember what life in the Homefront was like for everyday citizens, the pieces they made, the propaganda they saw, and how our government villainized our enemies. A very rare, obscene, important, and thought provoking piece.
