These pieces are crafted in the shape of the post-1932 style Italian “fascio littorio”, the symbol adopted by the Fascists from the ancient Roman symbol of authority. The piece is crafted from bronze, and set on top of a marble base, most likely harvested from Carrara. These desk fascios were created in an effort to raise money for a veterans cemetery.
