WW2 US M4 Bayonet Aerial M1 Carbine
Offered here is a lovely example of the rarest M1 Carbine bayonet issued during WW2. During the war nearly 2.5 million M4 bayonets were produced, Imperial being the most common maker which produced 917,894. Aerial produced 91,898 bayonets for the war effort, making those bayonets the most sought after by collectors. This bayonet offered here is a fine example, the blade retains much of the finish and the guard is correctly marked “ACC”. The bayonet is also accompanied with the correct M8 scabbard, the scabbard itself is also very nice, these early scabbards usually have broken tips or cracks, this example is free of those common ailments. This bayonet shows some patina and overall ware, however the condition is very nice, finding a bayonet produced by Aerial in any condition is not easy!
