For sale is this lovely example of a name engraved Purple Heart, this particular medal was issued to a solider who was wounded in action in the pacific. According to hospital records (last photo) Andrews suffered a head injury during a battle in the South Pacific in June of 1944. This hospital record also indicates that Andrews served in an armored unit or tank forces during his service.

This medal features a lovely private engraving that was well done by the engraver. The medal is the correct slot-brooch and period ribbon, the medal itself is in excellent condition. The box that accompanies this medal is also in very nice condition, no water damage or rust is present which can be typical for these boxes.
