WWI Named Purple Heart
For sale is a lovely example of a First World War Purple Heart. This particular medal was awarded to a veteran of both World Wars. Sobel was wounded just shortly after the Second Battle of the Marne, and for this was awarded the Purple Heart. As collectors know, Purple Hearts were not produced until 1932. This medal has the correct engraving for the era. Very nice example of a Purple Heart awarded to a two-war veteran.
