WW2 Japanese Signed Flag Battle Damaged
Offered here is a very fine example of a WW2 Japanese signed flag. This flag measures 30”x27” and shows obvious signs of battle damage. From the blood stains and corresponding rips in the flag, I believe it is safe to assume this flag was likely folded up in the pocket of a Japanese soldier when he fell in combat. It was very common for US servicemen to comb through the enemy dead and to take souvenirs such as this flag. The holes in the flag appear larger in the photos than they actually are, due to flaws in our photo editor service we use. The condition is quite nice, and this flag would make a magnificent display!
