WW2 German 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger E. Pack & Sohne
Offered here is a very fine example of what a Luftwaffe officer would have worn before and during WW2. This example was produced by the Ernst Pack & Sohne firm in Solingen Germany, the blade bears the firms early trademark featuring the mythical Siegfried swinging his hammer. The blade is in nice shape, has some spots of patination, but other than that it is shiny and bright, free of any sharpening or dings/dents. The scabbard retains much of its original airplane-grey finish, if you look closely you can see the scabbard has changed color where the swaz and eagle covered it for so many years. The grip is a nice vibrant yellow, free or chips or cracks, the silver bullion wire is tight and complete. This dagger is accompanied with the correct portepee as well, the portepee is very frayed as one would expect it to be after being tied to the dagger for 75 years. Overall this dagger is in very nice shape, no major conditional issues that I can find, and features a more uncommon trademark.
