Commander First Class Order of the Lion of Finland Neck Award with Box
Offered here is a very fine example of the Finnish Commander First Class of The Order of The Lion of Finland. These were awarded to both military and civilians, however far more military men received the commander class. This award I believe was produced in the immediate post war era about the early 50’s based on the hallmarks. It is hallmarked for 800 coin silver, and is crafted in beautiful enamel. Sadly the breast star is missing from the set, but the box is very hard to find. Makes for a very nice display, many WW2 German officers were awarded this exact award.
