WW1 Imperial German Officers Dragoon Pickelhaube
Offered here is an extremely fine example of an imperial German dragoon pickelhaube. This pickelhaube would have been worn by an officer in the imperial dragoons, and is complete with its parade plume made of Buffalo hair. This helmet is nicely marked 1892 and 1907 on the inside of the inner rim of the liner, indicating that it is pre-war manufacture. It is very difficult to find these with complete plumes, as well as the full officers metallic chin strap. This helmet is missing the cockades, however Prussian cockades are readily available on the collector market and could be a fun way to complete this helmet, but I will leave that to the next caretaker. Other than that, this helmet is in exquisite condition. Some crazing of the shell but overall really too condition with a beautiful plume and fully complete liner. These helmets are so iconic and display triumphantly.
