WWI Imperial German Officers Sword Monogramed
Offered here is a very nice example of an early imperial German officers dress sword. This German officer paid extra to have his sword name engraved, and monogrammed on the D guard. His initials are “C.L.” And the inscription reads “Leutnant Der Landwehr, Ludecke”. His first name likely being Carl, this piece could be a very nice research project, and could add value to the sword with having it identified. Overall the condition is quite nice, the grip wire has come loose in the past 100 years, something that is easily fixed. Scabbard has some missing paint, to be expected, other than that this sword is really quite nice. You don’t find name engraved/monogrammed swords often, especially from the imperial period.
