WW2 German K98 Bayonet Richard Herder
Offered here is a very nice example of a K98 Mauser rifle bayonet that would have been issued to a German soldier during the Second World War. This bayonet is complete with frog, and is numbers matching. This bayonet was produced by the Richard Herder firm, known for making dress swords and daggers in the period and a very desirable maker. The blade on this bayonet is particularly nice, and retains the great majority of its original blueing. The scabbard has a nice patinated look to it and you can see this bayonet actually saw service and was likely captured by a GI and brought home since it’s still numbers matching. This bayonet displays very nicely, it’s getting harder to find these in nice condition!
