WW2 Japanese Signed Hinomaru National Flag
Offered here is a very fine example of a signed Japanese Hinomaru flag. These national flags of Japan were typically signed by friends and family as well wishes to the soldier who was leaving to go on campaign. These flags were often taken from the fallen by GI’s, as these typically were very intimate items to the soldiers who carried them. This flag measures 41x26”, it has some small spots of staining, but no other damage that I can see. It is a great size for display, and in very good condition. Accompanied with this flag is a metal tag attached with Japanese writing, I have no information on this.
