WW2 German M42 Canteen
Offered here is a textbook example of a German M42 canteen issued to a soldier in the Wehrmacht. This canteen was at some time captured by a GI by the name of “Lopez”, who proudly carved his name into the canteen in several spots. The first button whole on the canteen cover is ripped, but other than that the canteen is in fair shape for a piece of field gear.
