WW2 German Early SA Dagger J.A. Henckles
Offered here is this very nice example of an early production SA dagger. This dagger was produced by the J.A. Henckles firm in Solingen Germany. The reverse of the cross guard is marked “WF” indicating that this dagger was issued to an SA man in the Westfalen region of north eastern Germany. This dagger features very nice nickel-silver fittings, as well as a nickel eagle and an early anodized scabbard. What I like about this dagger is that the patina matches all over, showing that this dagger has never been apart, or had a piece replaced. The grip has one or two very small dings, and there some light scratches on the upper guard fitting, but other than that the grip and hardware are in very nice condition. The blade has some marks of patination, but still retains its nice bright shine. Overall this is a very fine example of an early production SA dagger, and made by a desirable producer!
