WW2 German M35 Ex Double Decal Toned Heer Helmet

$1,250.00

Offered here is a very fine example of a WW2 German combat helmet. This helmet began its life as a model 1935, and would have been equipped with two decals. As many of them did, this example was repainted and lost the national shield decal. I have had one or two helmet collectors say this is a Kreigsmarine helmet, but in my professional opinion, based on the lack of ridging on the decal, and the lack of golden color, I believe this is just a toned Heer. The condition of this helmet is very nice, no serious dings or dents, and has very nice original paint. The only poor part of this helmet would be the condition of the liner. This liner suffers from the dreaded “red rot” that antique leather often suffers from. The liner is present but only attached by a small strip of the helmet liner. I have priced the helmet correctly to account for the condition of the liner, however if the collector is handy they could potentially swap out this liner for one in better condition, and thus would have a dynamite helmet.
